Whew, time to Relax…

Hey friends, happy Tuesday. I can say without a doubt now that blogging will become a more regular event now, since now I have a life again that is not COMPLETELY overwhelmed. I mean some days I cannot sleep because my mind just cannot shut up off. But now most of that is coming to an end.

This past weekend my youth group did their annual cookie making, baking and delivering to the church shut ins. It was an eventful two days, of craziness and interesting insight. My kids are truly a blessing in disguise. I feel so honored to be their youth leader, and be a part of their lives. So as of right now, the youth group has come to an end for 2012; but I still have one surprise up my sleeve for my kiddos (but hush, it is a secret) haha.

Also another chapter is coming to an end for right now, school. Yesterday I turned in my last final of the Fall 2012 semester, and Thursday at 5pm my final paper will be due. Now of course I am writing this post and realizing how bad my legal writing is because of blogging since I am not doing the correct Bluebook formats or anything like that (yikes)! However, this is MY blog so who cares right!!! Now I will say that this semester has given me a lot of insight into a law job and the process it takes to make it. Boy it will be hard. However, now that this chapter will be coming to a close in t-minus two days, another adventure is popping up: job hunting. Take about insane. I have a running list of jobs that I wan to apply for, but right now finishing my school is top priority. I need to keep my 4.0 up!!

Oh yes, job hunting. Not my favorite past time, well I do not know anyone who enjoys it. Personally I feel like a cover letter is just a bunch of crap and an interview is just how “on point” you are that day, not anything else. However, I will say that no matter how long it takes, or how many applications I have to fill out, or interviews to go to I will not give up. I am PRETTY sure that being a paralegal is what I want to do with my life.

Yet part of my soul, just wants to sell it all and move to France. The cat says “HELL NO Mommy, I am not moving across an ocean.” Plus I do not have any friends there, and would probably miss Richmond too much.

Speaking of Richmond, what a beautiful city now that Christmas time is quickly approaching. I mean, not that it is not beautiful any other time of the year, but now that the “tacky lights” are up and a blazed, the city has taken on a certain interesting feel. I truly want to drive around to all of the the houses on the tours and enjoy them. There is especially one on River Road between Parham and Ridge that is AWESOME. If I only get to see one this year, that one will be it.

Of yes, Christmas. That wonderful time of the year of chaos, presents and insanity. I will say that 90% of my shopping is done. I just need a few addresses, boxes and to order a few more presents and I will be golden. Unlike other people I know *cough* K-dawg *cough* who do not have a clue about what to get people or what he is even doing for Christmas. Luckily I have figured out that I am 95% certain I am going to see my mommy for Christmas, and then celebrating it with our friend Anne in February (busy lives). Yeah, last night I was asking Kenneth all these questions about “what is he doing for Christmas,” “where is he going for Christmas,” “has he even done any shopping,” or the big one “do you even know what to buy anyone?” You want to know the answer to all of those questions, “NOT A CLUE!!!” Oh lordy, this boy is insane. We will make it through, luckily we have a tree. Now granted it is just a table topper so it is like 3 feet, and the cat has not really enjoyed it yet (or that we can tell); but I am afraid to decorate it because of her. We will see.

Okay, well I am off this to write my final paper (or at least start it)!!! Wish me luck and have a marvelous Tuesday everyone!
