Hey friends, happy St. “Let’s Pretend to be Irish and Drink Green Beer” Day… or more commonly known, St. Patrick’s day! I hope everyone had a fun, and safe day! We did, mainly because we are old farts and did not go out.
Yesterday had such potential… yet, failed miserably. We had planned on going to Shamrock the Block down in the Bottom; but the weather seemed iffy, and so we called it a no go. We were super lazy most of the day (mainly because he had a headache), but eventually he felt fine and I started to feel like crap. Not fun. So he went dancing, and I stayed home with the cat! Luckily she did not mind!
Once he came home, he started to feel yucky. He literally passed out in ten minutes; it was funny.
This morning we went to church, which was a struggle for us to get up for. Once again, I have not been sleeping. I mean, going to sleep at a normal time. Friday night I last saw a clock around four. Last night was no different, a little earlier though, at three. Still it sucks.
Our breakfast was Dunkin’ Donuts coffee. Yet, once we hit Ashland I stopped at Hardee’s to get a chicken biscuit and hash browns. Man, it hit the spot. I mean, normally craving fast food is not my thing; but sometimes you just have to have it! It was great, and so worth the million of calories I consumed!
Church was swift, quick, and funny. The fact that my priest started his sermon off with a song was on point! Of course, I was so jumpy, so I kind of kept dancing in the back of the church. Luckily no one was near me, except the senior warden; who thought it was crazy too!
Church was followed by some shopping at TJMaxx, which was awesome also! I found some ADORABLE handbags, yet I am still not going to pay over one hundred dollars for a bag. Even if it cost over two hundred to begin with. Just insane. HOWEVER, they were stylist and awesome colors!
I did find some new work out gear. I have a month to the 10k, so I need to get moving. Luckily I know I can do three miles, the trick is seeing if I can do six before then! Good luck to me, right?!
Next we hit up World Market, in search of some bagged drink mixes that you just been to add alcohol too then freeze. However, no such luck. But we did a few fun things, and it was a simple trip. We did find a few things we would love to have; yet not worth the price, plus moving soon we do not want to really stock up on items before hand (if ya know what I mean)!
“Lunch” was Sonic. He got some spicy chicken nugget things with sweet potato tots, while I got chicken tenders and tots. It was okay. This morning’s breakfast was much better! Oh well, I at least got a half price drink. Which of course, was a cherry limeade!
Our final stop was Target. I mean, truly it was our original destination to begin with; yet we kind of got sidetracked. Oh well! At Target I got a nice light weight jacket to wear during the 10k, that has pockets to hold my phone and all that jazz. We also stocked up on a few necessities for the apartment, and a few non-necessities.
Of course, since someone has a beard they want it to be softer. So we were trying to find out what products to buy to make it softer. I have a feeling it is going to be a long trial and error. Oh well, it will be funny. We bought three items for him to try, and of course I think I will enjoy it more than he will.
I did read that guys should get a perm, because it relaxing the hair; then the guys blow dry it. I would LOVE to see a video of this happening. I mean, really the things we were looking for had to have a high alkaline level; which most online posts said to use baby shampoo. Yet, those post were close to a decade old; and now baby shampoo is more a pH balanced shampoo.
Tonight’s “dinner” was some pretzel sticks, and pub cheese. I also made kale chips, which are pretty good. I mean, of course I do need a salad spinner though. They are crispy, but parts are not from being wet. Oh well, try and learn. But they are yum!
Well, I hope you have a good night; and had a great weekend!
